LAKEPORT >> Twenty years after they helped the Clear Lake High School junior varsity boys basketball team win a North Central League I title and finish 20-4 overall, teammates David Wilder, Daniel Glazier, Gabe Chausee, Darren Wells and Preston Stone proved they still got a little game left.
Teaming up once again for the 22nd annual Redding 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament the weekend of June 2-3, Wilder, Glazier, Chausee, Wells and Stone won four out of five games to capture the men’s 35-and-over division.
After losing their first game in the tournament, the Cardinals won their next four to claim the championship. They routed Everyday Fitness 20-6 in the semifinals before edging Optimus Primes 20-17 in the finals.
In their first three games, the Cardinals fell 20-13 to Oh Snap!, beat Optimus Primes 20-16, and defeated Everyday Fitness 20-18.
