UPPER LAKE >> An Upper Lake man is behind bars on a $1 million bail after authorities searched for his whereabouts in relation to the death of his wife. William Morton Henry, 64, was wanted by Major Crimes detectives since Monday after Lake County Sheriff’s deputies reported to the suspicious death of his wife Cindi Henry, 51. The LCSO found him on Thursday just after 9 a.m. at his Upper Lake home. Henry was taken into custody without incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The 51-year-old woman was found dead by family members on Monday at the residence on the 9700 block of Elliot Street, with William Henry’s location unknown. An autopsy was then performed on Wednesday, confirming that Cindi Henry’s death was a homicide. “Cindi’s cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation,” said the LCSO.
