LAKEPORT >> On behalf of the Delta lota Tau Scholarship Committee, three students received awards during the Clear Lake High Awards presentation late last month.
The students, who each received $1,000, were Valerie Hutton, Jessica Romero, and Taylor Bucholtz.
Rosa Bergeron, with the committee, presented the awards.
Delta Iota Tau is a Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International, one of three chapters in Lake County. Delta Iota Tau is committed to serving communities through monetary donations to various deserving organizations and individuals. Funds are raised all year through their See’s Candy sales at North Lake Medical Pharmacy in the Bruno’s Shopping Center in Lakeport.
The committee announced that this year gardens would be planted at the Lake County Fair.
“[W]e support other organizations efforts such as the Westside Community Park in Lakeport. Women who wish to serve their communities find Beta Sigma Phi an excellent resource,” said the Delta Iota Tau committee.
