CLEARLAKE >> Meadowood Nursing in Clearlake has received a prestigious award for improvement in several areas including patient experience.
The 99-bed, skilled nursing center located at 3805 Dexter Ln, was awarded the Primary Care Provider Quality Improvement Program award. The program supports three years of funding to help demonstrate an overall better health status and reduction in emergency department visits due to chronic disease.
Among its daily duties, the nursing center is known for organizing entertaining events that bring the community and its patients together, including Hot August Mornings — a 50s-themed gathering where patients had the chance to check out classic cars from local car clubs and enjoy a cookout.
According to Meadowood, the nursing center has proved improvement in prevention and screening, chronic disease management, appropriate use of resources, primary care access and operations and patient experience.
Meadowood administrator and co-owner Cheryl Cole said about receiving the award, “Congratulations to our wonderful staff at Meadowood! All of your hard work shows in the quality improvement rating. Meadowood staff, you rock!”
