LAKE COUNTY >> The Coastal Mountain Officials Association awarded two $500 scholarships again this year.
Each of the five county high schools Athletic directors were asked to submit one male and one female senior for consideration for these scholarships. The criteria for the scholarship are at least a 3.0 GPA, participation in at least two sports during their senior year, leadership and community service.
With six students nominated from around the county, this year’s recipients were Alyssa Ferguson and Luke Holt who both attended Middletown High School.
Coastal Mountain Officials Association said they “congratulate the scholarship winners and all of the students who were nominated by their school’s Athletic Directors and encourage them to continue to strive to achieve their goals.”
