CLEARLAKE >> Southshore Little League Senior Baseball All-Star team will be traveling to Visalia this weekend to compete in the 2018 Senior Division NorCal Championship tournament.
The team of 12, 14 through 16 year-olds and their coaches advanced past the District tournament and won the opportunity to represent District 2 in the Sectional tournament played in Chico last Saturday. The team won both games. The first by a score of 11-1 and the second by 12-11.
Those wins send the team to Visalia for the NorCal tournament. They will compete against six other Section winners and if successful, will play in the West Region Championship tournament in Sacramento later this month.
The boys and their coaches represent Clearlake and Lake County as they advance in the tournament. In the midst of all the smoke and flames, these boys have a spirit that looks unstoppable.
