LAKEPORT>> The City of Lakeport National Night Out Against Crime will be held on Tuesday evening, August 7th, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Library Park on Park St. between 2nd and 3rd St.
This event is coordinated by the Lakeport Police Department to increase and improve police and community partnerships in the city.
City of Lakeport Management and Staff, City Council Members, Lakeport Police Officers and Staff, Lakeport Fire Protection District, and other local safety officials will be on site to meet and greet local residents. The event will feature free hot dogs, waters and other snacks.
We plan to have a youth game area and bicycle decorating contest, sponsored by the Lakeport Main Street Association, so we are asking that kids bring their bicycles to participate. We will have raffle prizes for kids and adults. Face Painting by Kathy will also have a booth providing free face painting.
There is no cost to community members to attend. This event is being funded by the Lakeport Police Department, Lakeport City Council and the generous donations of services, supplies and prizes by numerous local businesses and organizations. The organizers would also like to thank Grocery Outlet for the free hot dogs and supplies.
