An adult woman, a 35-year-old man and a 3-year-old girl were found dead by Lake County Sheriff Department deputies inside a residence in the 17000 block of Pine View Drive in Whispering Pines Tuesday evening.
At approximately 5:40 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the location for a report of a double murder and suicide. Upon arrival, they found the deceased. All three appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds consistent with rounds fired from a gunshot according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The man’s wounds appeared to be self-inflicted according to witnesses who reported the crime to law enforcement.
Detectives from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit were summoned to the scene and are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Authorities stated the investigation is in the preliminary stages at this time and added that identification of the deceased will be released pending notification of next of kin. Additional details will be made available as the investigation progresses.
