LAKEPORT >> Clear Lake High School is holding a final round of physicals for athletes planning to participate in sports during the 2018-19 school year. The physicals takes place Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. in the gym.
The cost is $20 and the physicals are for Clear Lake High School students only.
Bass tourney
KELSEYVILLE >> The Lake County Fishing Club and Yuba Sutter Fishing Club are hosting a bass fishing tournament Sunday at Lakeside County Park beginning at 6 p.m. All entries fees will be donated back to fire victims of the Mendocino Complex fires.
Anyone who would like to donate toward this fund can show up at County Park between 6 a.m. and noon. Any donation will help those in need.
Catfish tourney
CLEARLAKE >> The Katfish Angler Tournament Series (KATS) visits Clear Lake on Aug. 25-26 for the Catfish Gold Rush. Tournament headquarters is Redbud Park in Clearlake.
Teams can consist of two or three people and you must fish from boats. Fishing hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Cash and prizes are given to the top 10 places. The tournament is limited to the first 50 teams to sign up. The team sign-up fee is $220.
Each team can weigh in a maximum of five fish per day. Winners are determined by total weight. Based on a full field of 50 boats, the winning team would receive $4,500, the runner-up team $2,500 and the third-place team $1,500.
A rules meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 24 at a location to be determined.

Tennis play
KELSEYVILLE >> The Konocti Junior Tennis Program meets Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and runs for eight weeks at the Gard Street tennis courts in Kelseyville.
Free lessons are provided for beginners and intermediate players age 8-18. Players should bring their own drinking water. Racquets are provided.
