Numerous Lake County educators gathered at the Marge Alakszay Center (MAC) at Lakeport Unified School District (LUSD) on August 14, 2018 to learn techniques for addressing trauma in our students that may be caused by the Mendocino Complex fire and previous Lake County fires. The training was organized by LUSD and facilitated by Mandy Corbin and Mary Champion, who provided trauma care and education to the Sonoma County schools after their devastating fires last year.
