KELSEYVILLE >> Jake Keithly and Payton Lyndall of the Lake County Fish Club won the high school division during a bass tournament held Aug. 19 at County Park.

Members of the Lake County Fishing Club and Yuba Sutter Fishing Club participated in the event and donated all of their entry fees — $740 in all — to Mendocino Complex Fire victims. That money will be dispersed by Umpqua Bank to local agencies that serve fire victims.

A total of 18 points participated.

Keithly and Lyndall weighed in a five-fish limit of 18.25 pounds.

Ryan Keithly and Deake Lyndall, also of the Lake County Fishing Club, won the junior division with a five-fish limit weighing 16.21 pounds.

“I would like to thank those who stepped up to be boaters for the day,” said Deanna Goff of the Lake County Fishing Club. “I know the kids had a great time and knowing that it was for a really good cause, the kids felt good to give back to their community. I know they (Yuba Sutter fishermen) felt great helping out a community that they have come to get to know very well while fishing here often.”
