The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club teamed up with the Konocti Lioness Club and spent the day filling and planting wine barrels with colorful annuals to place alongside the freshly painted benches at the front door of the Floral Building at our own Lake County Fairgrounds just in time for the Fair’s grand opening on Thursday, August 30. Clare Stenge, Julie Hernaez, Anna and Ron Hess, Hilde Krause and Lonny Rittlec were the busy gardeners who prepared the area which will then be cared for by our local People Services.
