ROSEVILLE — The final event in the 2018 championship race for the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, takes place Saturday night at All American Speedway in Roseville. The Hoosier NSMS October Classic features a six-car, six-lap Lucas Oil Dash for Cash along with a 60-lap feature event.

At the end of the competition the 2018 North State Modified Series (NSMS) champion will be honored. Kris Price of Sacramento enters the race with a healthy 66-point lead over Dustin DeRosier of Cloverdale. Since it is possible to earn as many as 85 points at each event, Price need only start the main event to clinch his first NSMS championship. Price and DeRosier are the only drivers who have a mathematical chance at winning the title.

Third-place contender Eric Johnson of Kelseyville trails DeRosier by only 22 points. Eleven points behind Johnson is another Kelseyville driver, Darrin Sullivan. Eric Price II, Kris Price’s brother, sits in fifth, only three points behind Sullivan.

The North State Modifieds are running in conjunction with the NASCAR K & N Pro Series, the Pacific Challenge Late Model Series, the local Bandolero/Mini Cup cars, and the local A & B Super Stocks.

The North State Modified Series is presented by Protect the Harvest, Lucas Oil, Ward Land Management & Development, Hoosier Tire West, Sunoco Race Fuels, Naake Suspension, Five Star Bodies, Racer Bling, Scribner Plastics and Frank’s Radios.
