MIDDLETOWN — Mountain Vista Middle School defeated Middletown Middle School 25-18, 25-16 during a recent volleyball match in Middletown.
Sam Brown led Mountain Vista with 11 service points, three of them aces, and also had four kills. Other Mountain Vista leaders were Kiara Rivas with nine points, six assists and four digs; Jayden Paulich with 13 assists and seven digs; Ella Rigby with six kills and nine service points; Presley Nunn with five kills; and Mikaylah Meyer with 13 digs.
“For her first year of playing volleyball, she has picked up the game fast,” Mountain Vista coach Deanna Goff said of Meyer.
Goff also praised the serving and back row play of Ari Fossa.
“The team is really starting to come together with learning a new rotation and talking out there on the court,” Goff said.
