
SANTA ROSA— The holiday season is in full swing at the Charles M. Schulz Museum, complete with a range of seasonal activities for all ages. This weekend, visitors are invited to walk off their turkey feasts at the Family Fun Weekend (Nov. 23 and 24) featuring interactive cartooning workshops by Joe Wos. More upcoming events are detailed below. The holiday festivities culminate with the Schulz Museum’s annual “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown!” daytime event featuring a balloon drop and root beer toasts on Dec. 31. In addition, the Museum’s current exhibition all about Snoopy, Then Came the Dog, is view through March 10.

Family Fun Weekend
Cartoonist and storyteller Joe Wos will be at the Museum for live walk-in performances and cartoon workshops throughout the day.

Hands-on Chanukah
Together with the Jewish Concierge of Sonoma County, the Schulz Museum will host dreidel spinning contests, marshmallow-dreidel decorating, menorah crafting, a gift raffle, and more. Say “Hands-On Chanukah” at the front desk to receive free admission.

Year of the Dog: Happy Howl-idays
The culmination of the Museum’s Year of the Dog events. Make a Peanuts-themed ornament, explore photo ops throughout the Museum, and receive a special Snoopy button to take home.

Gingerbread Doghouse Workshops

Ring in the New Year with Santa Rosa’s only Up-Down and Baby Balloon drop (at Noon), toast with root beer (at Noon and 3:00 pm), and explore hands-on crafts for the whole family.

The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center opened in August 2002 to fulfill its mission of preserving, displaying, and interpreting the art of Charles M. Schulz. The Museum presents changing exhibitions and programming that build an understanding of cartoonists and cartoon art; illustrate the scope of Schulz’s multi-faceted career; communicate the stories, inspirations, and influences of Charles Schulz; and celebrate the life of Charles Schulz and the Peanuts characters.

The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center is 50 minutes north of San Francisco by car on Highway 101. The Museum is located at 2301 Hardies Lane, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
