KELSEYVILLE — Kelseyville High School will hold volleyball clinics as well as tryouts for the Konocti Bay Club team on back-to-back Sundays in December at the Kelseyville High School gym.
Athletes participating in the clinics are not required to try out for the Konocti Bay Club, which is open to girls in the sixth through 11th grades throughout Lake County. However, you must attend at least one of the clinics if you want to be considered for a spot on the Konocti Bay Club team. The cost to attend each clinic is $5.
The clinics cover all skills – passing, setting, serving, hitting and digging. Athletes will be grouped by skill level, not grade level.
The first clinic is Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The second clinic is Dec. 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Athletes attending the clinics must inform staff that they wish to try out for the Konocti Bay Club team. Club information and costs will be available at the clinics. The Konocti Bay Club team is sanctioned by the AAU and team members will participate in tournaments in the Redding/Red Bluff and Chico areas.
Athletes selected to compete for the Konocti Bay Club team are required to have their parents attend a Dec. 11 meeting beginning at 6 p.m. in Room 211 at Kelseyville High School. A $100 deposit is due at that time.
