
LAKE COUNTY — Kelseyville High School senior quarterback Alex Garcia and Kelseyville junior middle linebacker Robert Chavez are the most valuable players on the 2018 All-North Central League I football team as selected by the league’s coaches.
Kelseyville won the league championship this season with a 7-0 record. Fort Bragg and Middletown finished two games back at 5-2 followed by St. Helena and Cloverdale at 4-3. Rounding out the standings were Clear Lake at 2-5, Willits at 1-6 and Lower Lake at 0-7.
Offense
Elijah Hernandez of Lower Lake earned first-team honors at quarterback after breaking both school and Lake County records for most passing yards (2,779) in a single season.
First-team running backs are Kelseyville’s Chavez, Middletown senior Drake Harbison, Fort Bragg senior William Robertson, and St. Helena junior Cody Ditomaso.
All-League wide receivers are Middletown junior Nico Barrio, Willits junior Jacob Arms and Cloverdale senior Cesar Buenrostro.
First-team linemen are Kelseyville senior Horatio Montes de Oca, Kelsevyille juniorRoman Navarro, Middletown junior James Hernandez, Cloverdale senior Andre Glutch, and Fort Bragg senior Johnny Delgado.
The All-League tight end is Kelseyville senior Bryan Carrillo.
Honorable mentions on offense are Clear Lake junior lineman Dion Brewster-Rameriez, Kelseyville senior running back Jordi Lopez, Lower Lake senior wide receiver Darian James, Cloverdale junior quarterback Shayne Turner, and Willits senior quarterback Darrell Buzzard.
Defense
The heart of the Kelseyville defense, MVP middle linebacker Chavez, is one of five Knights on the first-team squad.

All-League defensive lineman are Kelseyville senior Liam Terrell, Middletown junior Jared Pyzer and Fort Bragg senior Jeremy Segura.
Defensive end selections are Kelseyville senior Javante Gregoire and St. Helena senior Ryland Campos.
All-League linebackers are Clear Lake senior Rodrigo Lupercio, Kelseyville sophomore Chase Larsen, Middletown junior Dillon Tingle, Willits senior Christian Pedersen, Cloverdale senior Chaz Mrkvicka, and St. Helena senior Luis Robledo.
First-team defensive backs are Kelseyville senior Zack Watkins, Lower Lake senior Diego Mendoza, and Fort Bragg junior Jullian Clavelle.
Honorable mentions on defense are Middletown senior linebacker Nash Field, St. Helena senior defensive linemen Frank Lenni and Gannon Wilson, Willits senior defensive lineman Hunter Ford, and Fort Bragg senior linebacker Cody Filosi.
