The year 2018 has been a busy one for Habitat for Humanity Lake County. Another year of wildfire and the chaos that comes with it has been tough on everyone, but Habitat for Humanity continues to work on behalf of the county’s residents. In addition to the ongoing repair services offered to low-income military veterans, seniors, disabled individuals, and others, Habitat has provided homes for 7 families in 2018. Three of these homes have been for survivors of the Lake County fires. There are three other homes in process to kick off 2019.
Habitat for Humanity Lake County is grateful for the continuing support of our volunteers, donors, and community supporters. The work we do together provides our friends and neighbors with safe, decent, affordable homes and allows their children to grow up in a secure environment and celebrate this festive time of the year in places they can call home.
If you would like to volunteer your time and skills or would like to donate, please contact the Habitat for Humanity office at 707-994-1100, come by the office at 15312 Lakeshore Dr., Clearlake, or visit our website at www.lakehabitat.org for more information. If you are a low-income Lake County resident who is interested in home ownership, or are a low-income homeowner in need of home repairs, you are also encouraged to contact Habitat for Humanity to see how they can help.
