SHASTA LAKE — Nathan Phillips and Cooper Goff of Kelseyville High School placed 10th overall in the Nor Cal Juniors Bass Club fishing tournament on Sunday at Shasta Lake where fishermen were greeted by very cold conditions in the morning.
Taking part in the competition were 46 high school teams and 10 junior teams.
Phillips and Goff weighed in a five-fish limit that tipped the scales at 10.01 pounds. Their big fish was 2.88 pounds.
Sam West and Sheldon Reese of Kelseyville High School finished 26th overall with a five-fish limit of 8.75 pounds, including a big fish of 2.80 pounds.
In the junior division, Paolo Forcini of the Lake County Fishing Club teamed up with Ethan Contreras of the Yuba Sutter Fishing Club to place fourth overall with a five-fish limit of 9.40 pounds, topped by a big fish of 2.88 pounds.
