EUREKA — Andrew Mikel won the 106-pound division on Saturday as three Middletown High School junior varsity wrestlers reached their respective weight class finals at the North Coast Classic in Eureka.

Mikel won both of his matches.

Teagen Oliver and Ruben Cortez earned second-place medals. Oliver, competing at 126 pounds, went 2-1 during the tournament. Cortez, competing at 138 pounds, went 1-1.

Middletown High School’s wrestlers return to action Wednesday night when they host a Coastal Mountain Conference tri-meet against Lower Lake and Kelseyville. Action begins at 5:30 p.m. The JV wrestlers travel to Willits next Saturday for a tournament.
