UPPER LAKE — The Upper Lake High School Boosters are hard on the fundraising trail again.

After completing their nearly decade-long Lights of Love mission — with a big assist from the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake — to bring lights to the high school football field, the group is moving on to other sports needs at the Northshore campus, including an all-weather batting cage, a new high jump pit for the track, and outdoor workout stations at the campus that can be used by students and the public alike.

On Feb. 9, the ULHS Boosters will be raising money for all of those things when it hosts the Field of Dreams under the Lights of Love fundraiser at the Northshore Events Center, formerly the Sons of Italy building, in Nice.

A night of fun, food and drink begins with happy hour at 5 p.m. followed by a tri-tip steak and barbecue chicken dinner between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Music and dancing follow from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The cost is $25 per person or $250 for a table of eight. There will a live auction and raffles. Tickets are limited to the first 200 people to sign up.

All proceeds benefit the ULHS Boosters, who will in turn fund several projects at the school. The Boosters recently purchased new soccer goals for the high school field.

For more information on the Feb. 9 fundraiser in Nice, call Ron Raetz at 275-2874 or Melanie Sneathen at 349-4226.
