Camp Fire survivors started marking their new locations on a Google map over the weekend, listing new homes in 29 states and more than 245 communities — so far. The map circulated social media on Facebook groups Paradise Fire Adopt A Family and Camp Fire Survivors, and illustrates the displacement caused by the November fire in and around Paradise.
It uses one heart on a given location to represent one or more people at that location.
