CLEARLAKE— Mark your calendar and buy your tickets for the Park Study Club’s annual Scholarship Fundraiser Gala this Saturday at 5 p.m.. This event will be held at the Highland’s Community Center located at 3245 Bowers Avenue, Clearlake. Tickets are $45 pre-sale and $50 at the door.
The LC Diamonds will once again be providing music for listening and dancing; local wineries will be pouring award winning wines; entertainment by the Lower Lake High School Jazz Band and the Show Choir; Dessert Auction compliments of the Class of 2020 of Lower Lake High School and dinner by the Woodland Community College Culinary Department with food donated by local grocery stores.
Combine this with wonderful raffle baskets; a silent and live auction; interactive 50/50 Heads or Tails game and you have an evening full of fun and philanthropy.
Last year’s gala was sold out and raised over $10,000 enabling the Park Study Club to give out over $8,000. in scholarships.
The Park Study Club is a Federated Women’s Club established in 1942. Their first major undertaking was to get a Library established in Clearlake. Besides providing thousands of dollars in local scholarships each year, they provide the American Flag that flies over Austin Park; sponsor sophomores from around the Lake to attend the Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY) leadership camp; assure that residents without family at Meadow Wood Nursing Center are remembered at Christmas and Easter.
