SALINAS — After ten years, the United States Navy Blue Angels came back to perform at the California International Airshow on Saturday and Sunday at the Salinas Municipal Airport.

The Blue Angels performed over the skies of the Salinas Valley as hundreds of spectators watched the pilots do their aerobatic demonstration in six F/A-18 Hornet aircraft. The team split into the Diamond Formation — Blue Angels 1 through 4 — and the Lead and Opposing Solos — Blue Angels 5 and 6.

This year’s airshow also included the return of fan-favorite Robosaurus — the world’s largest transformer. Jerry Conley and the Vampire Jet made an appearance along with the Smoke & Thunder Jet Truck, the Jess Rodriguez Sky Diving team and the Wall of Fire.
