Team weighs in 41.76 pounds for five-fish limit at WON BASS Clear Lake Open

Ryan Furno (left) of Portland, Oregon, holds up two of the fish that made up his team's five-fish limit on Wednesday during day one of the WON BASS Clear Lake Open. The pro-am tournament features 252 fishermen (126 pros and 126 amateurs). Furno's team brought 41.76 pounds to the scales — an amazing 8.35 pounds per fish — topped by an 11.74-pounder caught by Furno, who is a professional. According to longtime Record-Bee outdoors columnist Terry Knight, it's one of the heaviest five-fish limits ever weighed in at Clear Lake and could possibly be a lake record. The WON BASS Clear Lake Open runs through Friday. Pros fish with a different amateur each round but team weight each day counts toward the pro's and amateur's tournament total. Weigh-ins begin 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Konocti Vista Casino, Resort and Marina near Lakeport. (Photo by Terry Knight)
