COBB — Lower Lake’s Mike Taliaferro tied Fort Bragg’s Elijah Hall for the day’s low round, a 98, during a Coastal Mountain Conference North match on Tuesday afternoon at the par-67 Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.
Fort Bragg (20-0) won its fourth straight North match to remain undefeated on the season. The Timberwolves carded a 415 team total (combined rounds of the four lowest scorers) to beat out Willits (432), Lower Lake (450), Mendocino (452) and Clear Lake (458). Point Arena was a no-show.
The match was the first half of the CMC North qualifier for the upcoming North Coast Section championships. The second half takes place Wednesday at Tayman Park Golf Course in Healdsburg.
Nate Maples of Willits was the only other North golfer to crack 100 as he finished with 99. Other low rounds went to Willits’ Dave Mann (101), Mendocino’s Hardy Lee Beaker (102), Fort Bragg’s Clay Anderson (103), Clear Lake’s Miles Mattina (105), Lower Lake’s Cole Doud (106) and Fort Bragg’s Hannah Hurst (106).
