LAKE COUNTY — Four Lake County high school baseball players, two each from Middletown and Kelseyville, have been named to the All-North Central League I first team as recently selected by a vote of the league’s coaches.
Five other county players garnered second-team honors while four received honorable mentions.
League champion Fort Bragg (13-1) dominated the All-League selections with four first-team players, including most valuable player Garrett James, and six players honored overall. Kelseyville (9-5) had the next most with five followed by Middletown (10-4), St. Helena (10-4) and Cloverdale (8-6) with four apiece.
Lake County players honored on the first team were Middletown junior Jimmy Rockwell and sophomore Will Aden, and Kelseyville senior Adrian Villalobos and junior Cooper Goff. Villalobos, a four-year varsity starter for the Knights, is making his second straight appearance on the All-League first team after earning second-team honors in 2017.

Rockwell and Aden helped first-year Middletown coach Jon Hoogendoorn and the Mustangs challenge Fort Bragg for the league title. They’ll help form the core of the Mustangs’ 2019 squad, which loses only three starters.
Also earning first-team honors were Fort Bragg’s Jullian Clavelle, a junior; Andrew Johnston, a senior; and Cody Filosi, a senior; and St. Helena senior Caleb Jeske and sophomore Stacy Nelson.
Second team
Earning All-League second-team honors were Lower Lake senior Mike Taliaferro; Clear Lake senior Preston Jones; Kelseyville junior Tyler Linnell and sophomore Chase Larsen; Middletown senior Jon Hoogendoorn Jr.; Fort Bragg junior Wyatt Curti; Willits senior DJ Buzzard; and Cloverdale senior Keller Sibert and sophomore Josh Lemley.
Honorable mention
Nine players were accorded honorable mentions, including Middletown senior Drake Harbison, Clear Lake senior Chris White and freshman Drake Smart, and Kelseyville sophomore Jeremy Brown. Other honorable mentions went to St. Helena senior Jack Adkins and junior Caleb Granados; Cloverdale senior Drew Edens and juniors Dylan Scaramella; and Fort Bragg senior Cole Killion.
