Customer Appreciation Celebration

U.S. Cellular is kicking off summer by hosting a Customer Appreciation Celebration at its Clearlake store from June 27 to June 30. Everyone who visits the store during this time will receive a free beach towel while supplies last, and customers can access a mobile prize game on their smartphone to spin to win prizes that include bill credits of up to $20 and accessory discounts of up to 20%.

“We want to celebrate as a community, so we invite everyone to visit our store for the giveaway and see first-hand how we appreciate our customers,” said Erryn Andersen, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in the Northwest. “Beyond the in-store festivities, we also show our appreciation year-round by investing in our network and the latest wireless technology to ensure that our customers have a great wireless experience and their phone works when and where they need it.”

ASHLAND, OH

Kelseyville teacher awarded Golden State Summer Fellowship

Katie Daitoku, a teacher at Kelseyville High School, has been awarded a prestigious Golden State Summer Fellowship by the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University in Ohio. The center is a highly regarded nonprofit provider of educational programs and resources for U.S. history and government teachers, as well as high school and college students.

Middle- and high-school teachers chosen as summer fellows participate in a rigorous week-long graduate-level summer course with other students enrolled in Ashbrook’s Master of Arts in American History and Government (MAHG) program. The MAHG program is the nation’s only master’s degree program developed specifically for history and government teachers.

“During their week at Ashbrook, the summer fellows study the ideas that motivated the people who have shaped our nation’s history by reading what these individuals said and wrote at the time,” said MAHG program Director Chris Pascarella.
