Jesus Loera was sworn in at the Clearlake City Council meeting Thursday night. His badge was pinned by his mother and father. Officer Loera is from Orange Cove, CA. He graduated from Fresno State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology in May 2017. He attended the Fresno Police Academy where he graduated May 5th. He previously worked with youth in group homes and served as a tutor at the Juvenile Justice Center in Fresno. Over the next 16 weeks, he will participate in the Field Training Program where he will receive on the job training, evaluation and feedback by experienced field training officers.
