CLEARLAKE— All evacuation orders have been lifted for Cache Creek Apartments in the 16000 block of Dam Road in Clearlake after forward progress on a wildfire burning near the apartment complex, which led authorities and emergency first responders to evacuate residents on Saturday evening, had been stopped according to information made public by the Clearlake Police Department.

Three fixed air craft and one Cal Fire Hel-0 No. 104 were all resources involved in battling the fire.

As of 8:37 p.m. Saturday, law enforcement cautioned the public via social media to “please use caution when traveling in the area as fire units are still on scene.” Department officials noted evacuation orders for Building D of the property remained in place, but the order for building C had been rescinded.

Officials added that an arrest of a suspect for arson has been made in connection to this incident and more info would be forthcoming. An earlier Nixle alert warned residents to avoid the area from Highway 53 and Dam Road due to the fire.

Fire units from Lake County Fire Protection District, Northshore Fire, South Lake County Fire, Konocti crews all responded. Also on hand to help were units from Clearlake Police, California Highway Patrol and Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
