
Consuming nearly 29,000 acres, a year ago, the River fire was burning between the city of Lakeport and the Hopland grade as it ominously made its way south of Highway 175. A plethora of Lake County communities found themselves at risk as the Ranch and River fires had collectively dispatched of seven residences in just a few days time.
