CLEARLAKE >> Multiple agencies responded to a fire near the Cache Creek Apartments in the 16000 block of Dam Road in Clearlake which led authorities and emergency first responders to evacuate residents on Saturday evening. Law enforcement officials added that an arrest of a suspect for arson had been made in connection to the incident. It was the second major emergency in the area of the day. Earlier, a structure fire at a residence on 40th and Arnold Avenue destroyed at least five vehicles and forced a family of four to escape by dropping to the ground off a balcony in the two-story house.
