The Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College, located at 15880 Dam Road Extension in Clearlake, offers a variety of educational programs to enhance your career or prepare you for a four-year degree at a University. The new Lake County Campus Promise program covers most registration fees for all full-time students in their first year.
Many programs are available that can prepare you for a job with great pay. The Water Treatment program can be completed in one year, and most of the students who earn the certificate are hired by local companies almost immediately. Students who have earned a certificate or degree in Culinary Arts work at some of the best restaurants in Lake County. A new certificate in Welding is available to help students become certified welders. The Early Child Education certificate helps students become licensed family day care providers.
The campus also offers associate degrees that help students transfer to the CSU/UC system to earn their bachelor’s degrees. Majors in Administration of Justice, Anthropology, Economics, Psychology, Human Services, English, Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, and Mathematics allow students to transfer to a four-year university as a junior in most cases.
Other programs help support student success, including Extended Opportunities Programs & Services (EOPS) for first-generation or low-income students and Department of Supportive Programs & Services (DSPS) for students with mental, physical, or emotional challenges. Financial Aid can provide support for living expenses while students attend classes. There are programs for Veterans and for adults who want to earn their high school equivalency or prepare for college or career.
