HIDDEN VALLE LAKE— Lake County Republican Women, Federated (LCRWF) met at the Greenview Restaurant, HVL, for lunch on Aug. 14, with many guests and new members present.
Highlighting the agenda was the announcement by Teresa Jackson, committee chair of the Americanism Essay Contest for 11th grade students, that Cody M. Metzler of Clearlake Oaks, won the contest “In My Opinion, What it means to be an American Patriot.” LCRWF was pleased to receive many entries from the 11th grade students in Lake County. Cody’s entry has been forward to compete in the northern division competition.
Lani Urquiza, Chair, Lake County Republican Central Committee (RCC) revealed their heavy fall schedule which will be published shortly. The first event being a booth at the Lake County Fair.
James C. Lewis, guest speaker, held the interest of members and guests with his message “What is it all about?”
He spoke about how in his opinion, the liberalist Democrats for years have been manipulated by a globalist power known to exist as early as the 1920s. He identified them and went on to explain how at least three presidents spoke of them including Lyndon B. Johnson in favor and how they are the “shadow government” as puppet-masters trying to accomplish a one-government world they control.
He explained he is a former Democrat, the kind who rarely voted, did not believe his vote counted, did not have much interest in politics, and held the belief that politicians were all crooked or just self-interested in lining their own pockets.
About five years ago, having been surfing on the web, watching YouTube and other online news media, Lewis said he discovered that the Democratic Party had been hijacked by pro-socialists who called themselves “Progressive Democrats,” and the Party was no longer the Party his parents had known. Lewis stated, “I became interested because I am definitely not interested in seeing my own country turned into a socialist country.” He now believes people need to speak up and votes do count.
Lewis is in the process of completing his soon to be published book, “World Beyond Reason: The Orwellian Factor,” which details what he has found and the conclusions he has drawn. He is hoping his book will affect the 2020 elections in favor of those who cherish this country and its freedoms and values.
The talk was followed by the usual question and answer period, with many expressing interest in having a copy of Lewis’ book when it is published.
