LAKEPORT— Look for RCC booth at the Lake County Fair where you will find information on current legislation, have your voter registration questions answered and get that much-needed information on candidates. There will be opportunity drawings, wheel of education, games with free prizes. Their booth will be a great place to learn what the RCC is doing for Lake County and have a well-rounded conversation.

RCC calls attention to SB 27, sponsored by Senator Mike McGuire (D-Healdsburg) calling for President Trump to reveal his last five years of tax returns. The California Republican Party and Trump Administration have filed a lawsuit based on the belief that “the Constitution sets forth the qualifications for all federal offices … and in term limits cases, states have no right to impose additional qualifications.”

RCC emphasizes that citizens can write articles and also contact Senator Mike McGuire, who sponsored this bill, letting him know he’s not upholding the Constitution.

The RCC will be present at a fun and informative day, September 21, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Matt Nelson, candidate for State Assembly Dist. 4, invites all to 15299 Central Park Rd., Middletown. No admission fee, barbecue, pony rides, horseshoe tournaments, bounce house, corn dogs, music and special speakers … watch for more information on Matt Nelson Day and come out and hear how when elected Matt is going to help us.
