LAKEPORT—Chloe Karl announced that Jessica Jennings Pyska, candidate for the Lake County Board of Supervisors, District 5, will be a guest on KPFZ’s radio show, Citizen Lake, on Saturday, September 7 at 9 a.m.
Pyska will discuss Lake County’s critical issues of economic vitality, disaster prevention and preparedness, health and safety while preserving what residents love about the county.
According to Karl, “recognizing that sustainable tourism is key to economic vitality,” Pyska will speak to building on “tourists’ attraction to our small-town feel, our magnificent setting, and the wonderful welcome they receive from our Lake County residents.” Recently, she helped organize the very successful Blackberry Cobbler Event which drew over 1,000 attendees including many from outside of the county.
Of particular importance to Pyska is the County’s disaster prevention and preparedness. As a part of that, she will outline her plan to bring the Firewise program to additional communities around the lake, funded by recently awarded grant money.
