Middletown High School students, most of them cross country runners, staged a brief walkout Thursday to protest the firing of former head coach Don Cobb earlier in the week.
The students also issued a list of demands, including “making sure girls at MHS have a safe way to report (safety issues), making sure our coaches, faculty and administration are properly trained on how to help students report, and getting Don Cobb reinstated.”
In addition, a petition is currently being circulated asking Middletown Unified School District board members to reinstate Cobb as head coach.
