Jake Howard (left) teamed up with Larry Lubner to capture the NewJen Tournament of Champions held over the weekend at Clear Lake. Their two-day winning weight was 43.3 pounds and they collected $20,000 in prize money. Second place and $3,625 went to the father-and-son team of Jeff and Jeffrey Tuel with 42.47 pounds. Third place and $2,330 went to the team of Wayne Breazeale and Gary Barrett with 42.07 pounds. The big fish of the tournament weighed 9.16 pounds and was caught by the team of Dan and Vince Fonte.
