Lake County Democrats screen documentary films
Lake County Democrats host two films at their Second Saturday Cinema program on October 12, with an emphasis on health care in the United States. This double feature showing begins at 2 PM at the Methodist Community Church, 14521 Pearl Ave. in Clearlake. All are welcome. Free admission.
Each film exposes the shortcomings of America’s health care system. “In Sickness and In Wealth” looks at the patterns of health and sickness to reveal the correlation with wealth and underlying patterns of class and racial inequities. The second film, “Place Matters,” explores why your street address is such a good predictor of your health. Richmond, California is The Place where many conditions harm residents.
Second Saturday Cinema has been organized by the Programs Committee of the Lake County Democratic Party. Associate membership in the Lake County Democratic Party is open to registered Democrats and dues are $25/annually. More information can be found at www.lakecountydemocrats.org
