Fixing County roads: A sound foundation is needed
I was reading in the Record Bee that our Board of Supervisors is thinking about raising the sales tax to fix the roads in Lake County. First of all, we need to learn from our mistakes. A sales tax increase is a direct hit on all our businesses. When you go to buy something that is expensive, like a generator to replace PG&E, those thousands of dollars could hurt the business and the consumer.
Now, if we look back to years ago, the County of Lake and the State of California used to have shale bits, gravel out of the creeks; because when you build a road right, you need a foundation and a way to get a foundation is to use gravel, which we have many thousands of yards in our county. It needs to be taken out of the creeks…Middle Creek, Scotts Creek, Adobe Creek, Kelsey Creek and Cache Creek…at this time we have an abundance of gravel that should have been removed years ago. We should be cleaning the creeks and building the roads and using the gravel wisely.
At this time the County of Lake does not know how to build a road. The State of California does not know how to build a road anymore…to prove my point all you have to do is drive up and down any road in Lake County whether it is a state highway or county road, the chuck holes are there and will be there. The only way to solve the problem is to build the foundation on the road.
Because like anything else, the foundation is what holds everything up and preserves it whether it is under a house, under a garage or under a road. So until we start using common sense, we are stepping on our own foot and wasting our tax payer money. Because we just do a brain storm and don’t think about remembering the past and don’t think about the future. It is time for us to get smart.
Remember, soon we are going to be drowned with gravel and flooded because no roads were fixed right. I can prove what I am saying with facts.

A man without honor
“A man without honor dishonors everything,” the best selling author James Patterson says of tyrants. Because of Trump’s despotic lack of honor, the United States is dishonored nearly everywhere in the world except for his bosom buddy dictators. Most Americans (see real polls) totally disrespect him in our hearts and minds.
Trump and his policies have slandered our free press, undermined our Justice Department investigations, ripped babies out of mother’s arms and locked them in cages, decimated our affordable health care, scammed billions from our struggling families and bankrupted businesses, ruined President Obama’s Paris Climate Agreement, jeopardized our senior Medicare and Medicaid and even threatened both nuclear war and constant conventional wars all over the globe.
According to Eric Hoffer in “The True Believer”: “Authoritarian fanatics fall hard for ISIS or Evangelicans or Trumpism because all these evil hearted movements thrive on boldness.” They welcome the rash and uncontrolled, like Nazi storm troopers. Like all the pumped-up backwoods bozo Trump troopers and white supremacist thugs. They think that like Trump, they are now above the law because they now have such a high calling. The Evangelicals try to “God-talk” their way out from under reality’s truthful constraints. The same with Trump and his Godfather-talk to his gullible followers and phony Fox News and other paid-off type Breitbart goons. But reality as Hoffer says will always prevail in the end.
From several Psychology classes I have learned that most of Trump’s followers love him because they want to be like him. Psyche 103 teaches us Trump’s zombie-like troops accept his lies because fellow liars will respect you if you lie and always get away with it. Just like the Christian moral police who shout platitudes without ever living by their own loudmouth moral standards. They claim piety even as they cheat, lie and steal (Say hello to a few of my neighbors down the way. When they’re not in church singing louder than anyone, stiffing the collection plate and strutting around in their “I Love Jesus” ball caps and T-shirts, they’re in jail.)
Trumpies endorse purging voter rolls of registered Democrats (mostly blacks, Latinos and the poor), applaud attacking all minorities, the disabled, especially LGBTs, anyone they disagree with and those pesky anti-Trump democratic world leaders. But dear God how they love all those inhuman godless dictators. Why? Because Trump loves all those murderous dictators. Why? Because as he has so often said: “They get things done!” Genocide’s all right with him I guess. Wow. So his supporters now think it’s OK because of him to act like a heartless pig. Why? Because you’re on the side of the “righteous.” You’re really smart now because you now know how to fight dirtier than all those dumb Democrats and progressives. But history will remember Godfather Trump and all his gullible followers and it will not be kind. What a legacy for Trump-lovers’ grandkids. Prepare yourself suckers for your own grandkids and their kids and their kids for dishonoring and disrespecting you. Why? Because you’re at ground zero.
