UPPER LAKE — Laboring to pass the ball up the field to their forwards, the Upper Lake Cougars dropped a 2-0 North Central League III girls soccer game to Technology of Rohnert Park on Friday afternoon in Upper Lake.
“I feel like we were evenly matched with that team, they just wanted it a little more than we did,” Upper Lake coach Daniella Santana said.
Technology (6-3), the defending North Coast Section Division 3 champion, scored both of its goals in the first half.
“Our offense wasn’t on point today as it usually is,” Santana said. “We struggled getting the ball to our forwards from our midfield and defense.”
Upper Lake falls to 8-4 on the season. The Cougars return to action Wednesday against undefeated Roseland University Prep (8-0-1) in Santa Rosa at 4:30 p.m.
