Roberta Lyons, chapter president of the Redbud Audubon Society, said that the abundance of turkeys in LAKE county is because they live here. They were introduced decades ago by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife as a game animal. A flock of 36 turkeys were seen foraging and running around in Lucerne recently while residents took pictures of them. Happy Thanksgiving from the staff of the Lake County Record Bee.
