It was another news period chock full of regional and state news. As Lake County prepares for the holiday season, on Nov. 16, over 100 members of the local motorcycle clubs delivered 154 turkeys which had been donated to the Clear Lake Gleaners. Two hundred birds were also donated by the Golden State Water Company as part of the company’s annual Operation Gobble. Since its inception in 1990, the program has donated more than 240,000 birds. Also this week, PG&E officials announced it was committed to scaling back on the frequency of their planned power shutoffs, euphemistically dubbed “Power Safety Power Shut-Offs” by company officials.
