KELSEYVILLE — Volleyball clinics and Konocti Bay Club team tryouts are coming up at the Kelseyville High School gym.
The clinics are open to any girl currently attending the sixth through 11th grade in Lake County. Clinic dates are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost to attend either clinic is $5. Staff will cover all volleyball skils, including passing, setting, serving, hitting and digging. Athletes will be grouped by skill level, not grade level.
Athletes must attend at least one clinic to qualify for the Konocti Bay Club team. If interested in joining the club team, you need to inform clinic staff. Club information and costs will be available at the clinics. The Konocti Bay Club team plays under AAU rules. Tournaments are held in the Redding, Red Bluff and Chico areas.
Athletes selected for the club team must attend a Dec. 15 meeting along with their parents in Room 211 at Kelseyville High School. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. A $100 deposit will be collected that evening.
