COLUSA — Mikayla Fifield’s 15 points powered the Clear Lake High School junior varsity girls basketball team in a title-clinching 41-35 victory over Colusa in the championship game of the Colusa Tournament on Saturday in Colusa.
Clear Lake (4-1) held on late as Colusa rallied from a double-digit deficit to make things interesting.
“We had a good one,” Clear Lake assistant coach Jeff Mertle said of the game.
Stella Hill added 10 points and tournament most valuable player Montana Wells had nine. Also named to the All-Tournament team from Clear Lake were Abby Mertle and Rubi Ford.
Clear Lake travels to Upper Lake on Thursdsay.

At Potter Valley, the Kelseyville Knights beat Upper Lake to advance to the championship game of the Potter Valley JV Tournament where they lost to Fort Bragg.
In the win over Upper Lake, All-Tournament selection Derek Huggins led the way with 14 points, Luke Watkins chipped in with seven, and All-Tournament selection Tyler Leary had six. For Upper Lake, Sammy Avalos scored 21 points, Kyle Grandi finished with eight and Kai Young had six.
In the championship game, Watkins finished with 11 points, Leary had nine and Carson Mayo eight for Kelseyville.
Fort Bragg led 29-19 at halftime.
In the third-place game, Upper Lake defeated Mendocino behind 14 points from Avalos, nine from Grandi and eight from Young.
Avalos was named to the All-Tournament team.
