Hospice Services’ ‘Light Up a Life’ ceremony Dec. 12

Hospice Services of Lake County is partnering with The Compassionate Friends, On the Lake Chapter, in hosting the annual ceremony of remembrance, the “Light Up a Life” event.

Community members are invited to participate in the ceremony and reception following tomorrow at the Hospice Services Bereavement Center, 1862 Parallel Drive, Lakeport. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.

Light Up a Life is a candle-lighting ceremony that celebrates the memories of family, friends and loved ones who have gone before us.

There is no charge for attending the event that will include music and readings accompanied by the lighting of candles. Keepsake candles will be available at the event.

Memories of holidays past may trigger grief and sadness.  Hospice Services of Lake County and Compassionate Friends Lake County Chapter recognizes that complicated feelings surface during the holidays and we have created a remembrance service to help ease the pain of loss during this time.  This service creates an opportunity for us to remember the deaths of our human and non-human family, friends, and those who have served our communities and country.

For more information, call the Hospice Services of Lake County office at (707) 263-6222 or visit the agency’s website, www.lakecountyhospice.org.
