KELSEYVILLE — Lake County’s longest-running basketball tournament, the Stokes Invitational, begins its three-day run Thursday at noon in the Kelseyville High School gym.

This year’s 48th annual tournament will have a solid representation of Lake County schools in addition to tournament host Kelseyville. Upper Lake and Middletown are part of the eight-team varsity boys bracket that also features Cloverdale, Elsie Allen of Santa Rosa, Ukiah, Ferndale and Technology of Rohnert Park. The standard eight-team bracket features first-round games on Thursday, consolation semifinal and championship semifinal games on Friday, and final-round games on Saturday

The round-robin varsity girls bracket consists of Kelseyville, Upper Lake, Ferndale and Elsie Allen. There will be two girls games each day of the tournament.

The Thursday boys schedule has Cloverdale vs. Upper Lake at noon and Middletown vs. Elsie Allen at 3 p.m. in the top half of the bracket, and Ukiah vs. Ferndale at 4:30 p.m. and Technology vs. Kelseyville at 7:30 p.m. in the bottom half of the bracket.

The Thursday girls schedule has Upper Lake vs. Ferndale at 1:30 p.m. and Elsie Allen vs. Kelseyville at 6 p.m. On Friday, it’s Upper Lake vs. Elsie Allen at 4:30 p.m. and Ferndale vs. Kelseyville at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday it’s Elsie Allen vs. Ferndale at 3 p.m. and Upper Lake vs. Kelseyville at 6 p.m.
