Approximately 40 to 60 protesters waved signs and called for the impeachment of President Donald Trump in front of the historic courthouse in Lakeport Tuesday joining nationwide rallies on the eve of the House of Representative’s vote scheduled for Wednesday. According to local reports from Bay Area News Group reporters, during similar protests across the country, activists said they hoped Trump would be held accountable for using U.S. foreign aid as leverage in seeking and advantage in the 2020 elections and obstructing congressional investigations of his conduct. Across the country, more than 600 demonstrations, put together in part by MoveOn.org, a progressive activist organization specializing in political campaigning and organizing, took place. More than 200,000 people signed up to participate by mid-morning Tuesday. In the greater Bay Area, from Hollister to Napa, more than two dozen events were also scheduled.
