LAKE COUNTY — Spread the word. The hunt has begun. We are looking for a volunteer to fill the position of Lake County Poet Laureate for the term 2020-2022. If you feel that you are qualified and have the courage, energy, passion and zeal to take on the role of Lake County Poet Laureate please send me four of your original poems, three that you believe are your best and one that you don’t like very much. These poems should not have your name on them and each should be formatted to fit on one page. Along with the poetry send me a list of your literary involvement in the community, not only what you plan to do but what you have done in the past and your phone number and address. Also include a letter of recommendation written from someone in the writing community on your behalf. Mail these six pages to: Richard Schmidt, 495 N. You will need to attend a proclamation ceremony at the Lake County Board of Supervisors Meeting at 255 North Forbes St. in Lakeport no later than 9 a.m. on April 7, 2020.
