LAKE COUNTY — Most valuable player Allison Bryant is one of five Kelseyville High School players honored on the 2019 edition of the All-County volleyball team as selected by the Lake County Record-Bee.
Bryant, who is headed to Catawba College in North Carolina to continue her athletic and academic pursuits after she graduates from Kelseyville in the spring, led the Knights to another undefeated North Central League I championship this past season. A four-year varsity starter, Bryant played on three undefeated league champions and one co-champion in her four seasons with the Knights, teams that posted combined records of 55-1 in league and 106-24 overall.

Bryant split time between outside hitter and setter for the Knights. This is the third straight year she has been a county MVP but her first time as solo MVP. She shared the award with teammate Payton Conrad in 2018, and with Clear Lake’s Kiana Richardson and Camille Donald in 2017.
First team
Named to the All-County first team were two of Bryant’s teammates, seniors Paige Bour and Kalee Ellis, along with Clear Lake senior Shaelyn McIntire, and Middletown seniors Abbey Brown and Bella Dubois.

Bour, a setter for the Knights, is making her second straight appearance on the All-County first team. McIntire, a senior outside hitter, earned second-team honors a year ago for the Cardinals. Middle blockers Brown and Dubois and opposite hitter Ellis are first-time All-County selections.
Second team
Earning All-County second-team honors are Kelseyville senior libero Malia Brown, Kelseyville senior defensive specialist Alexa Vargas, Clear Lake junior middle blocker Emma Boatright, Lower Lake outside hitter Shelby Sapeta, Upper Lake senior outside hitter Seneca Snow, and Upper Lake senior libero Colene Pulido-Doyle.
All except Sapeta are first-time All-County selections. Sapeta also earned second-team honors as a sophomore in 2017.
